Backstory…
Originally produced by Skybox International, this original holographic master of the USS Enterprise D, encased in lucite, was part of “The Making of Star Trek The Next Generation” trading card set. In 1994 Skybox produced a 100 card set that documented the behind-the-scenes process of creating the series. There were 3 "collector editions" produced. Silver, Gold, and Platinum, all of which included the 100 card set plus a special gift. This lucite paperweight was included as the "gift" in the Platinum set. They were produced specially for this set and could not be purchased separately... until now.
