This ship has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and plastic materials then hand painted with an incredible level of detail. The vehicle also comes with a full color collector magazine. Vehicle measures approximately 5 inches long x 3 inches wide x 2 inches tall (mounted on base).

The Federation attack fighter was a type of starship employed by Starfleet as an attack fighter during the Dominion War. The Maquis appropriated several of these ships and used them as attack fighters during their insurrection against the Cardassian Union. Prior to 2370, these ships were civilian Federation support couriers not used by Starfleet. In 2370 a pair of such ships led by former Starfleet officer, Lieutenant Commander Calvin Hudson attempted to attack a Cardassian weapons depot on Bryma, but they were engaged by Benjamin Sisko on the USS Rio Grande forcing them to a strategic retreat. It is first seen in the Deep Space Nine episode "The Maquis, Part II", but was also featured on several other DS9 episodes as well as the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Preemptive Strike".

The fully illustrated magazine includes details of the Federation attack fighter's capabilities, design, and appearances in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It also features an article on "The Digital Revolution", which refers to the introduction of CGI models rather than the hand built models that were used in most of the production of Star Trek.

The collection features a full range of Federation and alien vessels including seven incarnations of the Enterprise; all the major Klingon vessels including the Bird-of-Prey; Dominion; Borg; and Romulan ships and is slated to include about 110 ships in total.
